Buhari’s Aide Slams Folks Asking the Presidency to ‘Fix’ #BBNaija: ‘It’s NOT Compulsory to Watch’

The special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie, has slammed those calling the presidency’s attention to the explicit nature of the Big Brother Nigeria (#BBNaija) show.

Posting on her Twitter yesterday, Ms. Onochie berated the complainants, reminding them that the show is not compulsory, not a PG show, and so she cannot ‘fix’ it to soothe them.

“STOP ASKING ME TO FIX BIG BROTHER NAIJA. I DON’T HAVE SUCH POWERS,” she yelled in all caps, and to those who complain that the show ‘corrupts’ children, she said, “Big Brother is an adult programme. If your children are watching it, it’s your fault, not mine. Grow up & protect your children. It’s not also compulsory to watch.”Use your remote control and change the channeI.”

This is not the first time prudes will be having issues with the show.

Last year, after TBoss shocked the underwear off the righteous by baring her pierced breasts, folks took to social media to protest, and that added to the hype around the reality programme.

Now, the prudes are back again, crying in righteous indignation, and Ms Onochie had the appropriate response for them.

We guess they will be back to complain, again, next season.
