President Muhammadu Buhari has sympathised with victims of the gas explosion in Kaduna.
The gas explosion, late Saturday, burnt down 14 shops and a pharmacy with one person injured on the Ibrahim Taiwo Road part of town.
Though residents mobilised to put out the fire before it spread further in the densely populated area, considerable damage had been done.
And the president, in a statement on Sunday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said his heart was with the victims at their hour of distress.
President Buhari said he was touched by the losses of life and economic ruin suffered by “these hard working Nigerians striving to make a living through honest labour.
“As a human being, I fully understand the economic impact of this accident on the lives of these hard working Nigerians.”
Buhari however advised Nigerians to pay greater attention to safety procedures and precautionary measures in their business places as these could help to avert disasters in the future.
