The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) have unleashed a withering attack on President Muhammadu Buhari, saying he’s Nigeria’s common enemy.
Both opposition parties took the stand when the National Publicity Secretary of the SDP, Princess Goldba Tolofari, paid a courtesy call on her counterpart in PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan in Abuja on Wednesday.
“We have a common enemy, Buhari is the enemy of Nigeria. He is a common enemy to SDP and PDP; that is why we are here to rescue the nation.
“It beats my imagination that under Buhari’s watch, things are deteriorating. They are not democrats; that is why things are deteriorating and we cannot sit and watch things continue to go the way they are going.
“We have come to show our appreciation for the professional way you have handled the task of speaking for millions of Nigerians who have been suffering under the yoke of the incompetence and heartlessness that have characterized the Buhari administration since 2015.
PDP Spokesman, Ologbondiyan, on his part said President Buhari has failed Nigerians on the myriad of problems besetting the nation.
According to him, it was for the purpose of sending the Buhari administration packing that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the SDP and other 37 parties.
Ologbondiyan has been a fierce critic of the Buhari administration, never missing a turn to call out the president’s excesses and shortcomings as the PDP steps up its opposition ahead of the 2019 general elections.
