President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Lagos for the Presidential Campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Buhari arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos on Saturday morning.
The Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, took to Twitter to announce President Buhari’s arrival.
He was received by the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and other officials of the party.
Earlier, Governor Ambode had announced that the state would not be blocking designated routes following the president’s visit.
The state ministry of transport in Thursday listed 18 routes that would be cordoned off to pedestrians as a result of the APC presidential rally – a decision that didn’t go down well with Lagosians.
Buhari, the flagbearer of the APC, is seeking a second term in office in next week’s presidential poll.
He faces stiff competition from Atiku Abubakar, former vice-president and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
