The Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Gaidom, has announced himself as Acting National Chairman of the party.
This comes a day after an Appeal Court in Abuja upheld the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as the party’s National Chairman.
The appellate court, in a ruling Tuesday, upheld a previous ruling of the Federal High Court sacking Oshiomhole as chairman of the party.
Gaidom’s announcement also follows the decision by the national working committee of the ruling party to announce Senator Isiaka Ajimobi as acting national chairman.
Ajimobi, a former governor of Oyo State, was the deputy chairman, south-west of the party.
