Luis Enrique has been announced as the new Spain coach after their World Cup fiasco.
The former Barcelona boss was officially confirmed by the RFEF as the new national team manager on Monday after Fernando Hierro stepped down from the role last week.
Madrid legend Hierro walked away from La Roja after they were knocked out of the World Cup by hosts Russia at the last 16 stage.
Enrique’s appointment settles a turbulent month for the Spanish Football Federation, with former boss Julen Lopetegui was shown the door on the eve of the World Cup following his unveiling as the new Real Madrid manager to take over from next season.
Luis Enrique, who left the Barca job in 2017, will now take charge of La Roja and his first match will be a cracker against England in September.
