A former Governor of Taraba State, Jolly Nyame has been found guilty of fraud by a High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Wednesday.
In a ruling today, Justice Adebunkola Banjoko of the FCT High Court found Nyame guilty of fraudulent approval of N250 million, Daily Trust writes.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had filed charges of fraud against the former governor to the tune of N1.6 billion.
Nyame was the Governor of Taraba State, North-east Nigeria from 1999-2007, after which he was succeeded by the late Danbaba Suntai.
