Breaking: Dusk to Dawn Curfew Imposed in Jos

The Plateau State government has imposed a dusk to dawn curfew in the state capital Jos following a breakdown of law and order on Friday.

In a press statement signed by the Acting Secretary to the State Government Richard Tokma, Governor Simon Lalong said the imposition of the curfew became necessary following the breach of security in Jos and Bukuru environs earlier in the day.

The government reiterated its commitment to ensuring the security of lives and property in the state, and called on all citizens to be vigilant and report suspicious movement to the authorities.

Residents remain tense, with the streets deserted following the latest outbreak of violence in the besieged state.
