The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, is presently holding an extraordinary meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo; Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah and Kaduna-based Islamic scholar, Ahmad Gumi.
The meeting is holding at Obasanjo’s residence inside his Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Atiku, arrived the sprawling library for the meeting, alongside his entourage and went straight into the meeting.
Also part of the meeting are, former Governors of Ogun and Cross River States, Gbenga Daniel and Liyel Imoke, Senator Ben Bruce among others.
No details have been released as to the purpose for the meeting, but sources say it is connected with mapping out strategies to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress in the 2019 general election.
The meeting comes a day after Yoruba elders, Afenifere, visited Obasanjo on the matter of protecting the region’s interest in 2019.
