Bovi Tackles I Go Die for Criticising Uduaghan’s Senatorial Ambition

Beef may be brewing between two heavyweights of Nigerian comedy as Bovi has condemned his colleague I Go Die, after the latter took issues with the ex-governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Udughan, in an open letter.

In the open letter, I Go Die urged the ex-governor of Delta State – who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress – not to contest for the senatorial position on the grounds that he did not achieve any remarkable feat when he was the state’s governor.

He said nothing can be ascribed to Udughan in terms of infrastructural and human capital development despite being in office for eight years with a revenue allocation of over Five trillion nine hundred and seventy-one billion two hundred million within that period.

I Go Die maintained that he was merely acting in the interest of the larger society and his submission was not personal.

But Bovi has taken issues with him, accused him of being Udughan’s friend while the former governor was at the helm in the state.

He also revealed that I Go Die frequently visited Udughan till the end of his tenure and could have told him his shortcomings then.

Taking to IG, Bovi wrote: “I don’t understand. Why didn’t you tell him all these while he was governor. Because I know you were his visitor and friend multiple times till the end of his tenure.”

When comedians get serious…it may not be funny.
