Last night, Birdman surprised the crowd at Lil Wayne’s “Lil’ Weezyana Fest” by apologising to his surrogate son who he has been beefing with over the years.
The fest was in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of rapper’s Tha Carter III. But things took a different turn at the Champion Square, New Orleans, venue when Birdman got on stage next to Lil Wayne and offered an apology.
“It feels amazing to be home fucking with my son, I love that nigga to death. I don’t know what y’all know but I know what the fuck I know and I know how I feel about what I know,” said Birdman to the crowd. “I knew this day was gon’ come but I ain’t know when it was gon’ come. But this nigga right chea? The best nigga, the realest nigga, the illest nigga. And I wanted to apologize to my nigga worldwide.”
The duo then performed “Still Fly,” a song created by Birdman himself and his Big Tymers’ collaborator Mannie Fresh.
The duo have been through a lot over the past years after Wayne accused Birdman of ripping him off. However, things seemingly is getting better with the, and this is because in March, they linked up at Miami’s LIV nightclub club to squash their beef, and from the videos making rounds on social media, they are seen hugging each other.
