The dramatic saga between Azealia Banks and Elon Musk has taken a new turn: the rapper now says she is sorry for the troubles she has recently caused him.
I feel terrible about everything,” she said in a letter shared on her Instagram Story. “I guess I could start off by apologizing for all of the painful events you’ve endured over the past week, as I feel as though my actions have largely exacerbated them.”
This comes mere days after she put the Tesla boss on the blast, dismissed him as a “trash ass beta male pig.
Their problems started on August 12, when the rapper took to her Twitter to reveal that she had been camping at Elon Musk’s Los Angeles mansion where she was supposed to record new music with Musk’s girlfriend, the Canadian singer called Grimes.
Banks claimed she waited at Musk’s house “for days” in hopes of linking up with Grimes, and when the Canadian artist didn’t show up, Azealia returned to Instagram to thrash her and Musk. “I have no idea when [Grimes] is coming back. I’m going to wait one more day then I’m going to go home,” she wrote, before comparing her stay at Musk’s house to Jordan Peele’s 2016 film Get Out. “Staying at Elon Musk’s house has been like a real life episode of Get Out,” she wrote.
She continued to go off on Musk, saying: “This trash ass beta male pig was given his start in life because his disgusting racist parents took advantage of thousands of black people …” Banks writes, referring to Musk’s childhood in South Africa. “Ask Elon musk what the fuck he does for Africa? Nothing, he ignores it. These fake ass libertarian shit bags.”
When Gizmodo reached out to Musk for comment over Twitter DM, and he claimed to have “never even met [Banks] or communicated with her in any way.”
But days ago, he finally admitted to seeing her in his mansion. “I saw her on Friday morning, for two seconds at about a 30-foot distance as she was leaving the house. I’d just finished working out. She was not within hearing range. I didn’t even realize who it was. That’s literally the only time I’ve ever laid eyes on her,” he told the New York Times.
Now, Azealia is apologising for the pains she caused him.
