Ava DuVernay has dragged President Trumo for filth for posting the photo of David Dorn, a 77-year-old small town police chief. who was found fatally shot early Tuesday outside a pawn shop that was looted after protests over the death of George Floyd turned violent.
In his post, Trump blamed his murder on ‘looters’ and as usual, he made inflammatory remarks which many people have now dismissed as opportunistic.
He wrote: “Our highest respect to the family of David Dorn, a Great Police Captain from St. Louis, who was viciously shot and killed by despicable looters last night. We honor our police officers, perhaps more than ever before. Thank you!”
But filmmaker Ava DuVernay immediately called him out. “We won’t let you use this Black man for your political gain. You can try. But we will not let it happen,” she said.
And for the murdered officer, she said, “May he rest in peace. May the truth about his murderers come to light. And may he not have his name dragged into your vicious, evil games.”
We won’t let you use this Black man for your political gain. You can try. But we will not let it happen.
