Premier League giants Arsenal have been drawn against Serie A side AC Milan in the last 16 of the Europa League.
Arsenal scraped past Swedish minnows Ostersunds in the second leg of their last-32 tie Thursday, losing 2-1 on the night but advancing with a 4-2 aggregate win after their 3-0 first leg triumph.
The Gunners are hoping to return to the Champions League next season by winning the Europa League but they’ll first have to overcome the challenge of resurgent Italian giants AC Milan who progressed on a 4-0 aggregate win over Bulgarina outfit Ludogorets.
Arsene Wenger’s side last faced Milan in the Champions League back in 2012 where they were eliminated 4-3 on aggregate.
Elsewhere in the draw, Borussia Dortmund will face RB Salzburg, while Atletico Madrid will go up against Russian outfit Lokomotiv Moscow.
Ligue 1 side Marseille will take on another La Liga outfit, Athletic Bilbao, while another Russian side, CSKA Moscow have been drawn against last season’s semi-finalists Olympique Lyonnais.
The ties will take place on the weeks of March 8 and March 15, before the last eight draw on March 16 at Uefa headquarters in Nyon.
