Pete Davidson has wiped his Instagram of all memories.
Last night, the SNL star took to his Instagram to announce that he would be leaving social media, his reason being that he considers the internet “an evil place”, adding that social media platforms no longer make him feel good.
“No there’s nothing wrong. No nothing happened. No there’s nothing cryptic about anything,” he wrote. “I just don’t wanna be on Instagram anymore. Or on any social media platform. The internet is an evil place and it doesn’t make me feel good. Why should I spend any time on negative energy when my real life is fucking lit. The fact that I even have to say this proves my point. I love you all and I’m sure I’ll be back at some point.”

Not long after he made the unprecedented post, the comedian deactivated his Instagram.
Davidson has been catching a lot of flak since the news of his engagement to Ariana surfaced. First, the singer’s fans unearthed the insensitive joke he made regarding the terrorist attack at her 2017 Manchester concert. Ariana defended him, but her fans returned yet again to criticise her tribute to him, titled “Pete,” which will appear on her forthcoming album Sweetener.
Seeing that there is no way he will win with these people you have made it a job to troll him daily, the comedian threw in the towel and walked away from social media.
Reacting to this, Ariana tweeted: “The energy u put out is exactly what u get back, please create a beautiful life for yourselves.”
