Ariana Grande was spotted on Tuesday in New York City in what was her first public outings in the weeks following the sudden death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller.
The “Side to Side’ was dressed casually in an oversized sweatsuit, stranded with two pals without umbrellas during a rain-soaked coffee run.
Ariana and her best friends Doug Middlebrook and Alexa Luria stood close by as they embraced the downpour with smiles on their faces, EOnline writes.
The unexpected outing comes a day after the grieving star and fiancé Pete Davidson stepped out for a long walk through their Manhattan neighbourhood, a day after she skipped out on the entire 2018 Emmys.
“Contrary to reports, Ariana will not be attending the Emmys tonight,” her team had said in a press release.
“Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend. She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.”
Ariana had paid tribute to Mac in a touching Instagram post shared with her 130 million followers.
“I adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will,” she wrote. “i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest.”
