Aremu Afolayan Speaks After Kunle Afolayan Distanced Himself From Aremu’s Complaints

Aremu Afolayan has finally spoken up after his complaints about the Lagos airport stirred nationwide outrage.

Recall that actor posted a video on his Instagram on Sunday, in which he called out President Buhari and the Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode following a bitter experience at the Lagos Airport.

According to the actor, trouble started at the entrance after one of the security personnel demanded money from his family. Next, airline staff refused to check-in a passenger he’d presumably had come with on grounds that they were suspicious of her French passport. You can read all about that here.

Shortly after, Aremu’s brother, the famous filmmaker brother, Kunle Afolayan, posted a disclaimer in which he distanced himself from Aremu’s video. “I will like to officially state that this is not Kunle Afolayan. He is my brother, not me. There is frustration in the land but hey!” he wrote.

Now, the Lagos government an the airport authorities have reacted to Aremu’s video and resolved his complaints, and it is why he has taken to his Instagram to thank those who stood by his side, while also shading those who “denied” him at the peak of the drama.
