A number of irate youths in Imo State have set ablaze a Magistrate Court in Orlu district of the state.
Punch reports that the fire destroyed documents in the court before it could be put out.
The youths, numbering about 20, were said to have invaded the court, which shares the same compound as the Orlu High Court.
It is not yet clear whether the action of the youths is connected to the recent arrest of more than 100 members of the women wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The women, who were embarking on a peaceful protest were teargassed, arrested and subsequently charged for treasonable felony.
In a reaction, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, has mandated the Area Commander in charge of Orlu zone to commence full investigations into the matter.
