Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi is catching a lot of flak for taunting Rennes’ Hamari Traore big-time towards the end of the Gunners’ Europa League round of 16 win last night.
From the video making rounds on social media, Iwobi appeared to kick at Traore after being fouled, and the two players squared up. However, instead of butting heads, Iwobi held his hand to his nose to suggest the Traore’s breath stank, before walking away with the assistance of Sead Kolasinac.
And it is for this reason that many people are criticising him.

And here’s what folks think:
#Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi was rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and filthy. Forget the banter & silly excuses you want to suggest.
Race and colour irrelevant…embarrassingly unacceptable.#Mali’s Hamari Traore is one of the coolest, respectful responsible players in Ligue 1.✊🏿

Pretty sure I'm in a minority but I found what Iwobi did with the nose thing disrespectful and unprofessional..

Imagine if Iwobi was white and he did this to a black man. I don't think people would find it as funny as they do now. This was very wrong and unprofessional.#ARSREN #Arssrfc pic.twitter.com/YLqugGfRF4
