Mrs. Muyiwa Adesanmi has reportedly broken the news of the death of Prof Pius to their little daughter, Tise.
This was revealed by one, Akintunde Akinleye, in a Facebook post which has gone viral since the death of the revered prof.
“When Tise wished you an angelic goodbye, Prof… A courageous woman, your friend, your wife held back all her pains…to break this news to Tise! I am so humbled by this courage!!!!” the Facebook posts reads.
Adesanmi was one of the 157 victims of the Nairobi-bound Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed shortly after take-off on Sunday.
A professor at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, Adesanmi was on his way to a meeting of the African Union’s Economic, Social, and Cultural Council in Nairobi.
The aircraft, a Boeing 737 MAX 8, carrying 149 passengers and eight crew members, lost contact with air traffic controllers six minutes after taking off, and crashed near Bishoftu, southeast of the Ethiopian capital, Ethiopian Airlines said in a statement.
Adesanmi, the winner of numerous awards, flew on a Canadian passport which he posted on Facebook on Saturday morning.
