6ix9ine has been linked to a shooting incident in New York City, where he reportedly was celebrating his sentencing.
Recall that the rapper was yesterday sentenced to 4 years probation for his involvement in a child sex performance in 2015. While many fans congratulated him on what they described as a ‘success’, the rapper took his entourage to a restaurant in NYC to celebrate. And that was where things got murky.
According to CBS News, police said a bodyguard shot a member of Hernandez’s entourage outside a Manhattan restaurant just before 6 p.m. Friday.
The shooting reportedly occurred in front of Philippe Chow on the Upper East Side, and police said the victim was part of a group trying to enter the restaurant with Hernandez.
Deputy Inspector Kathleen Walsh further added that a private security guard fired a licensed gun at a man who had hit him with a chair. The wounded man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
At the moment, it is unclear if 6ix9ine will be brought in for questioning, because things would turn bad if he gets arrested for the shooting: the judge had informed him that he could be sentenced to prison if he is arrested anytime soon.
We can’t wait to see how this pans out.
