50 Cent Tells Why Many American Celebrities Snubbed Cannes Film Festival

Days after he rocked the stage with John Travolta, 50 Cent has shared his personal opinion on why many American celebrities didn’t show up for this year’s Cannes Film Festival in France.

According to Page Six, the rapper, who stepped in for Pitbull at the last minute to play a Cannes Film Festival bash this week — said many American stars are not pleased with the festival organisers for banning movies by streaming services like Netflix.

“They ain’t f–king with Netflix, they ain’t f–king with a lot of people,” 50 figured, noting the ban of movies by the streaming service, and this is because such films don’t open in French cinemas.

He continued, noting this of his VIP friends: “They said, ‘Stay home,’ but I’m still here.”

Meanwhile, at the party for Travolta and his film “Gotti,” the rapper told the excited crowd: “You guys feel like you’re at a party right now — but I feel like I’m just hanging out with John Travolta.”
