‘I won’t Celebrate if Man United Beat Chelsea’ – Mourinho

Jose Mourinho says he won’t be rubbing Chelsea’s nose in it if Manchester United can pull off a shock win at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League today.

Mou, 57, takes United to his old club desperate for a victory that will relieve some pressure after a stuttering start to the season from his charges.

While the Portuguese tactician is bound to get a hostile reception from supporters who like to tell him ‘you’re not special anymore’, or refer to him as ‘Judas’ he said: “For me this is another game.

“Would I celebrate like crazy my team’s goal at Stamford Bridge or my team’s victory at Stamford Bridge?

“I don’t think so, I think I would try to control myself and to respect the stadium and the supporters that were my supporters and stadium for many years.

“I would think which stadium I am in, which public is in the stands but apart from that it is another match for me.”

United sit at a lowly 10th on the Premier League log, and will be desperate for victory to cut the gap on early pacesetters Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.

But Mourinho and the Red Devils go up against an in-form Chelsea side whose fortunes have been completely transformed this season under new manager Maurizio Sarri.

The game kicks off 12:30pm local time. Make it a date…
