Photo of the Day: When Adeola Balogun’s Copied Dress Went Awfully Wrong.

Copy and Paste dress

If you ever missed out on fashion week at any of the capitals, weekends in the cosmopolitan city of Lagos will not only leave you with a reassurance that maybe you didn’t miss so much and also reveal who’s been in the habit of copy and paste. We just love the Lasgidi social scene!

As the creme of the crop in Lagos prepped to attend the strictly-by-invitation wedding of Prince Aderemi Sijuade and the A-list Beautician, Olabisi Folawiyo popularly known as Faces by Labisi, a guest in attendance was nabbed right in the act of wearing a copy and paste design belonging to budding womenswear label, Samuel Noon.

While the Haute red number was first spotted on Adesua Etomi at the Soundcity Music Video Awards in the December of 2016 where the actor scored her red carpet moment without apologies, the wedding guest spotted a rather lacklustre interpretation of the original dress; and this can be seen in its frontal construction that is structure deficient. We are super certain the dress was reconstructed by a popular designer who certainly steered a clear warning not to be credited for the copied dress.

We leave it to our viewers to play Judge and the Jury on the case of this copied Little Red Dress.
