At least nineteen people are feared killed in Ariri Village, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State after another attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The gun-carrying herdsmen were said to have attacked the village on Wednesday night and shot the victims dead while they were asleep.
Sources on the ground say security operatives are yet to arrive at the scene of the incident and the corpses of the victims are still scattered across the compounds where the devastating attacks occurred.
This comes as Jos, the state capital is reeling from skirmishes in various parts of the city after herdsmen murdered a family of 14 close to the Rukuba Barracks.
Curfew is still in force in the affected areas as the once peaceful town struggles to return to life.
The military special task force in the state, Operation Safe Haven, is yet to release a statement on the latest attack.
