No fewer than 10 persons were killed in a twin suicide bomb attack in a crowded place at Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State over the weekend.
Eyewitnesses said two women detonated explosive devices at the entrance of the town from the direction of Gwoza, leading to the deaths.
A resident, Aura Garga, said the bombers struck on Saturday, killing themselves and ten others in the process.
He added that many people who sustained various degrees of injuries were evacuated for medical attention.
Madagali, located more than 250 kilometers from Yola, had suffered frequent attacks since its liberation from Boko Haram in 2015.
The latest blast comes amid renewed attacks in the north-east, particularly on military bases, by Boko Haram insurgents.
