Korede Bello apologises to school, asks for pardon following lecturers’ resignation threat
Last week, we reported that Mavin artiste Korede Bello’s lecturers at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) in Ogba, Lagos vowed to resign should the singer be allowed to take the semester exams, since his class attendance rate is lower than 70%.
The ‘God Win’ singer, whose matriculation photos are proudly displayed on the school’s website, has returned to the school, asking to be pardoned and allowed to take the forthcoming semester exam, Pulse Ng reports.
He was reportedly sober when he was spotted meeting with the school’s management yesterday, but it is yet unclear whether he will be allowed to sit for his exams even though Naij’s sources confirm that Bello is now punctual with classes. He is pursuing an HND in Mass Communication and matriculated at the NIJ after graduating from the institution in 2014 with an OND in the same field.
It has also been revealed that one of the lecturers who swore to resign is threatening the student who leaked the story to the press.
